Job Description
Sam’s club is a membership-based retail warehouse club owned and operated by Walmart. With more than 600 physical clubs across different geographic region in US, Sam’s Club chain serves more than 50 million US members and is rated among the top retailers in US.
Your Opportunity
You will work closely with tech and Business team to understand the requirements, design, architecture and influence the choice of technology to deliver solution working closely with senior architects and leadership team.
Join our young, highly energetic and dynamic team, and take part in defining the new age e-commerce and in club shopping experience. You will also have challenging opportunities to cross-collaborate with inter-disciplinary product and engineering teams to solve some of the unique challenges in multi-channel shopping experience.
Your Responsibility
Play a critical role in shaping the product & technical vision for the team while working closely with product, business, and engineering leadership across the company on a regular basis.
Hire, mentor and lead a world class group of engineers.
Nurture the culture of innovation, experimentation and fail fast.
Contribute to design and code reviews
Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise.
Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 6 to 9 years of core software product development experience.
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc.
12 to 15 years of relevant experience in developing Enterprise applications using Java, Spring-boot, REST, Kafka, Databases, Splunk, Caching.
6+ years of experience leading end-to-end engineering teams building scalable platforms and architectures.
Passion for building data driven culture, growing talent and hunger for making big impact
Strong interest and curiosity in leveraging the latest in tech to solve customer problems
Experience in communicating with end users, technical & business teams to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs
Ability to seek clarity in ambiguous situations
Experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure), CICD, DevOps, Kubernetes, scripting, SQL/NoSQL databases (Cassandra), Agile Methodology
Strong understanding of design techniques and software principles.
Experience in migratimg from monolith to microservices
A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession to deliver with quality.
