PhonePe is India’s leading digital payments platform with over 280 million registered users. Using PhonePe, users can send and receive money, recharge mobile, DTH, data cards, pay at stores, make utility payments, buy gold, and make investments. The Role
The consumer insights head will be on the forefront of the Insights transformation at PhonePe. The
research function within the brand marketing team will be the voice of the consumer and an essential
strategic partner to the marketing team to unlock growth for the payments and financial services business.
This role will be responsible for the independent leadership and execution of all strategy, business, brand
and innovation insights work for mother brand and all relevant sub-brands. This role is a critical partner to
the Marketing, Media, Digital and Business teams to ensure that the decisions we make and assets we
develop are based on the needs and wants of consumers.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a research agenda which will stimulate and deliver growth by use of internal
frameworks relating to Laws of Growth
Build / evolve propriety demand spaces / growth terrains frameworks for marketing and associated
BUs
Ensure the BU leadership is guided by Insights to translate relevant demand spaces into commercial
strategies to drive growth
Drive innovation in analytics and promote growth modelling methodology development
Responsible for marketing performance reporting, including KPI and program performance reportsIndependently design, develop and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies to address business
issues
Design industry metrics to be used in real time by the market leaders, cutting across the entire ecosystem for all
the high growth market, newer applications, cutting edge technology developments impacting mainstream business

Ideal Candidate
Proven consumer insights or consumer research experience of minimum 15 years across industries [ having worked in
consumer tech, financial categories is a must]
Expertise in Research Design & AnalysisAbility to confront and resolve ambiguity through structured problem solvingPrioritize analyses through hypothesis-building and identifies key issuesWell versed in research methodologies and possess the ability to apply research to address the brand & business

Excellent project management skills, particularly in terms of allocating resources and ability to partner with internal
