The Role
After a record-breaking 12 months launching some of the best known influencer brands out there, we are now looking for a Commercial Lead to join our team and take ownweship for the development of the strategy of all our newly signed influencer brands, from idea through to launch.
This role reports directly to the Chief Brand Officer, and sits within the brand team, the area of the business responsible for the development, launch, management and growth of our portfolio of brands. Our influencer brands are setting the standard for how brands engage in this exciting new era of social media, they are selling products worldwide and amassing millions in sales each year.
What you will do:
Build and communicate compelling visions for brands, and the journey to success incorporating brand requirements as well as the operating and financial parameters
Develop impressive proposition strategies, market positioning, business plans and financial forecasts for our biggest clients as well as new business opportunities
Work across multiple brands and projects in unison
Develop detailed briefs for the wider team to build the businesses (physical product brief, digital product strategy and requirements, go to market strategy)
Driving new business processes through commercial ideation and development of business opportunity proposals
Manage the portfolio of some of Genflow’s most high profile clients, and deliver memorable white-glove commercial management services to maximise potential and deliver consistent growth
Develop brand strategies and narratives, to translate into clear execution plans across all business touch points consistently
Design and plan commercial activity for your brands to deliver against individual brand objectives and commercial goals
Work with clients to grow their audiences and engagement to support Genflow’s unique audience-first approach to brand building
Lead with a thorough approach in relation to execution and optimisation to constantly improve brand performance
Utiltise data to present an insight-driven approach for success
Ensure there is a high standard of execution through admirable process adoption
Promote cross-functional communication and lead by example to influence decisions
Seek continuous opportunities to build relationships with clients and internally
Provide commendable support to the Chief Brand Officer in the development of best practice playbooks, strategic frameworks, commercial strategy and insight
Upskill across wider business through training, coaching and role modelling exceptional behaviours and your approach to developing business strategy
We would like to meet someone who:
Has previous experience working in a similar role as a commercial Leader who’s had responsibility for the development of new businesses from concept to launch
Has previous experience leveraging reporting tools to pull data (financial, media, web analytics) to analyse and report on what’s happening, interrogate why it’s happening and formulate data-led action plans
Has a good blend of experience in strategic and commercial roles, as well as operational and execution focussed positions where the successful build and management of businesses effectively and efficiently was achieved
Embraces taking a structured approach to achieving results, and has previous experience doing so across multiple brands, teams and channels
Has embraced P&L responsibility across a portfolio of brands or business lines, and understands how to manage a business with consideration for budgets and forecasts
Adopts an entrepreneurial mindset, and oozes determination, perseverance and an instinctive eye
Is commercially minded and understands how to build a strategy based on insight and data, and translate into a clear action plan to deliver sales
Understands and is excited about the power of the audience first approach to brand building, and the enormous potential that the creator economy represents
Is up to date with understanding of the creator economy industry and audience
Takes pride in achieving high quality work, recognises the value of meeting deadlines and targets deadlines are achieved
The important technical skills:
Previous experience making the most of web and app technology development and their processes
Proficient using management planning, contingency, and software tools
