Your Part in Our Mission:
The Head of Web Development will be responsible for the overall technical vision, execution, and releases of our web application and user experience. Tinybean’s web experience spans across a WordPress content platform and a JavaScript application deployed on AWS. This role will be expected to understand and make recommendations across this broad technology stack.
They should understand the technical challenges/limitations of our existing systems and be able to express that to adjacent stakeholders.
They will be responsible for the planning and oversight of all work done for our web experience. Including shaping work and planning the high-level architecture necessary for the projects to be successful, as well as maintaining rhythm and momentum for their execution.
They should be team players, able to be flexible whenever possible, but push back when it becomes detrimental to the overall goals of the Tech Team and Company.
They will be responsible for coaching and managing developers and contractors that do work on any of the aforementioned systems, and for making recommendations on personnel and staffing decisions.

Have a deep understanding of web technologies and identify opportunities for product roadmaps
Support and articulate technical challenges in our web application and advocate for their remediation
Manage a team of web developers, working on distinct swimlanes, while keeping technical oversight and quality standards high.
Lead estimation, feature breakdown, feasibility assessments, and bug remediation efforts alongside Product management partners.
Manage the performance of reports, ensuring high alignment with business and customer needs.
Advocate for and make recommendations on team organization and structure.
Plan agile software development process with a focus on delivery.

You must have …
8+ years of technical experience in Web Development.
Must have proven experience in leading and developing a team of technical professionals; minimum 4+ years.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive experience with web and integration technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, PHP, .Net, CRM integration, eCommerce platforms, message queues, and databases.
Experience with a range of CMS platforms including: WordPress, Hubspot, etc.
Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise web applications in B2C eCommerce, Order Management Systems, Product Information Systems, ERP, CRM or similar.
Ability to balance customer requirements with technical restraints (e.g., application size, bandwidth, hardware/software/equipment selection).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
