Description : ENGIE are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Transport Team on permanent, full-time basis. If you’re the type of person who loves to maximise results and make the complex, simple – this could be the role for you!
The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of business partner support for people matters, supporting contracts to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.
What will you deliver?
Take the lead in complex negotiated pay bargaining with the RMT trade union
Define the Transport HR plan, aligned to the Sector people plan and the business strategy
Deliver all UKBU, ETS South and Transport HR metrics and reporting, including owning and delivering all HR kpi’s
Take the lead and work on any HR projects / programmes as requested by the Head of HR ensuring the efficient delivery and evaluation
Work with the business in support of Workforce / Target operating model review
Management of Job evaluation/organisational design work
Review of Audit output and implement any recommendations that have an impact on people
Creation, Management, and manipulation of data
Identifying root cause of issues and provide interventions/corrective actions
Gather data from a variety of sources and provide effective insight and analysis, providing recommendations for improvement and monitoring outcomes
Coordination of the annual HR cycle, including annual salary reviews, bonus confirmation and performance management
Ensuring talent and succession plans are in place with appropriate development plans that are monitored
Advice on final stage grievance and disciplinary action including attendance at hearing as required
IR35 Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to government and process controls and GDPR
Coaching line managers in all people processes to ensure best practice and employee engagement is enhanced
Continually review personal performance ensuring it meets the needs of users.

Who are we looking for?
Experience of performing a business partnering role in a large, complex and highly unionised organisation
Experience of negotiated pay bargaining is essential
Occasional night working will be required
Experience in balancing workforce planning in a mixed employed / subcontracted model
Demonstrated experience of successfully managing change
Experience of complex grievance and disciplinary issues
CIPD qualified & preferably member
Track record in HR and project / change management
Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
Commercial acumen and credibility
Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
Numerate with strong verbal reasoning skills
Ability to work to tight deadline and with conflicting priorities
Practical approach to problem solving
IR35 legislation is a must
