It is also an exciting time to join the People Directorate, as we embark on the implementation of our new People Strategy and associated delivery plan.We are looking for an established and high-performing HR professional to join us on a permanent basis, to be a member of our People Operations Team supporting the implementation of strategic and operational HR guidance throughout directorates and academic faculties.You will have the opportunity to develop excellent and effective working partnerships with local leadership teams, including Directors, Academic Deans, senior managers, and staff. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative HR solutions and change management processes which anticipate and meet changing workforce requirements. You will manage a casework load ensuring the highest standards of support and professional HR advice to university managers. Alongside this, you will deliver internal training sessions and ‘on the job’ training to individuals and groups.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing HR casework end-to-end (including disciplinary and grievance resolution processes) and delivering a customer-focused responsive HR service. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information/rules/employment legislation. You will be dynamic and able to manage ever changing competing priorities on a daily basis. Experience of working in Higher Education is not essential, however an understanding of the sector is desirable.You will be CIPD qualified to a minimum of level 5.As the integrated HR service to a campus-based university operation, we are office-based on the University campus.
