This role will be customer facing acting as the link between DHL and ML/Production on established projects which are currently underway and future projects identified both internally within DHL Stores and Spirit Material Logistics.
Assist with project inception, attending meetings with stakeholders and walking through current process with relevant parties to understand baseline compared to future state.
Identifying costs relating to kitting media/consumables based on Material Logistics pert structure and load plan, in conjunction with stores processes and available floor space.
Identify suitable suppliers, lead times and cost proposals.
Review current facility design and equipment specification; identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product envelope, product flow, and transportation methods and lead future warehousing solution design and implementation.
Work with Material Logistics and DHL Stores to provide support for process improvements, new production contract development.
Manpower planning; assist with determining ongoing personnel requirements based on activity levels and product profile. Identify management and supervisory requirements for Operations personnel. Identify special skills needed and provide job descriptions for hiring.

Previous experience within a manufacturing and logistic sectors is essential.
Lean Certification or other Lean Six Sigma qualification is desirable.
Experience of CI/Lean methodologies within both manufacturing and service sectors – leading Kaizen and deploying Lean tools and principles
Experience of material requirements planning systems and inventory control functions.
Knowledge or experience with quotations, costs and invoicing.
Ability to manage new start-up business plans around planning, business design and documentation.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong people management skills.
