As the Lead for Global Business Development, Rivian App Store you will be responsible for creating the connected ecosystem of partners and products that enhance our singular, digitally native commercial platform – FleetOS. Specifically, this role will foster innovation and growth across the entire mixed-fleet value chain including telematics, driver safety, energy management, mobility, routing, IoT, compliance and more. You will negotiate first of its kind agreements in the global automotive market that simplify and accelerate our commercial customer’s transition to a more sustainable and profitable future.
THIS IS WHAT YOU”LL DO:
Be the subject matter expert on global automotive trends and new mobility business models to create a robust business development pipeline that converts into a robust commercial ecosystem of partners
Recommend build, buy, partner outcomes across connected hardware and software businesses
Negotiate business terms, contracts, and pricing based on product requirements and use cases
Activate partners in the Rivian App Store and on the Rivian Cloud developer platform
Aggregate data that drives volume through a centralized wallet and single pane of glass that monetizes the entire lifecyle of our mixed fleet customers
Work with product management, digital technology, vehicle engineering, and strategy to execute an international fleet GTM across embedded, aftermarket devices, SDK and API frameworks, firmware, applications and automotive services
Support ongoing account management and development of existing partners
THIS IS WHAT YOU”LL NEED:
Exceptionally strong strategic, industry, financial and technical analysis skills
Domain expertise and established relationships in automotive, cloud, telematics, and IoT deployments
A background in building developer communities and/or marketplace a plus
Experience with various automotive data sets and protocols (i.e CAN/OBD/PID)
7+ years of strategic business or corporate development experience with a preferred background in the tech, banking, consulting, automotive or wireless industry
Meaningful depth negotiating complex contracts, drafting RFP and RFI proposals, co-marketing agreements, and related documentation
A history of managing a large portfolio of external global partners, with direct accountability for P&L and/or partner revenue
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
