Description : Meta is looking for a Learning Designer to join our Change & Learning team, part of the Recruiting Global Scaled Solutions team. This person will be part of the Production team, a group of multimedia experience creators who’ll build just-in-time, scalable, modular and bite-sized digital resources (including assets such as e-courses, videos, interactive learning experiences, infographics, quick reference guides, job aides, presentations) to equip the global recruiting community with the knowledge needed to help them improve their performance.Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Meta’s success. We are looking for a Learning Designer with deep expertise building learning experiences and digital content grounded on adult-learning principles. The person in this role will Lead the design strategy and development of multimedia and digital deliverables and programs by identifying and addressing awareness, knowledge and skill gaps. Audits existing experiences and learning materials and then spearheads the development of content, procedures and tools in a variety of media based on learning needs, learner population capabilities, and job requirements; sequencing learning objectives, course components, time allotments, and experiential activities; collaborating with user groups; conduction research on learner needs, knowledge and performance gaps, and needed behavioral changes; identifying and recommending adult learning theories and methods that address training needs; and designing training experiences end-to-end. This person will partner closely with program managers, subject matter experts, global Change and Learning program managers and other key stakeholders to create innovative, blended learning solutions and advocate for the best user experience. This person will also be a role model for the intermediate members of the Production team sharing knowledge and helping them unleash their talent.This role partners very closely with key stakeholders across our Change and Learning, Strategy & Transformation and global learning partner teams. The Production team will work on building assets in partnership with our Learning Program Managers and Change Managers to ensure we are building the right resources at the right time. The ideal candidate will excel at shipping the right learning experiences and products based on L&D, digital and branding principles to elevate the learning experience across Recruiting. Candidates will be thought partners for the Change and Learning team, leveraging a digital design strategy approach and offering solutions to meet global scale needs. Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment, and excellent organization skills are critical.
Lead the mapping and creation of multimedia and digital-enabled learning solutions built based on sound L&D principles: does this in strong partnership with Change and Learning team members, global partners and SMEs by reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and identifying new opportunities to ensure the delivery of learning objectives, unique learning experience opportunities and creative modalities to support meeting learners’ needs and consumption behaviors/trends
Articulate innovative and creative design strategies and establish a learning design plan: determine priorities and define the processes and steps required to achieve the identified objectives across all projects/efforts relating to learning design and development
Develop, maintain and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to influence them on design standards, tools and processes and to facilitate collaboration and effectively share knowledge, technology and resources
Identify, understand and contextualize highly relevant learning content and present this back to the learner in a way that is easy to understand and to navigate leveraging multiple delivery channels: synchronous and asynchronous, digital formats and hybrid learning approaches
Align with and contribute to learning design and development standards and provide strategy and direction for learning programs in partnership with Change and Learning team members globally
Apply design-thinking principles to iteratively clarify needs, define learning strategies and potential solutions collaboratively with Change and Learning team members, global partners and SMEs
Prototype and iterate on design based on user testing and feedback. Gather, analyze, and address metrics, participant feedback and reporting to ensure high quality and efficient learning solutions
Create engaging, gamified learning experiences and activities that enhance learner development, employee experience and retention
Design and deliver learning products in variety of formats including graphics, audio, video and animation formats
Measures effectiveness by aligning assessments to the operational business: collecting and evaluating training and performance data: determining training’s impact on operational key performance indicators (KPIs)
Design innovative blended learning experiences, ensuring they are scalable and inclusive for a global audience. Translate subject matter expertise into learning experiences that drive engagement, behavior change and business impact
5+ years of proven L&D design experience working in cross-functional teams building L&D experiences at scale in partnership with content designers, multimedia creators, instructional designers
Mastery of L&D principles defining learning objectives and measures of success using a learner-centric approach integrating learning science theory (ADDIE model, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick’s Model) and practice to deliver pedagogically-sound experiences
Competent in modern design, graphic design, video, learning authoring, prototyping and management tools such as, Articulate360, InVision, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Camtasia, Cornerstone
Communication skills. A flair for creating concise and effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Functional knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS to enhance learning experiences and build highly engaging learning products
Demonstrated experience developing self-paced blended learning experiences, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, assessments
Proven experience managing project timelines to meet aggressive deadlines and effectively prioritize a consistent flow of deliverables
Experience turning complex information into engaging content across various channels and creating a mechanism for measuring impact across multiple learning audiences
Post-graduate or professional degree in Instructional Design and Behavioral Learning Sciences
Functional expertise with HTML5 in the creation of immersive experiences
Strong knowledge and experiencing working with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP)
Branding experience in building experiences or experimentation work focusing on rapid prototyping and agile development of products (sprinting, A/B, back-door testing, digital analytics)
Experience within a learning consulting agency/company building learning assets. Experience building experiential learning using AR/VR, gamification and badging
Experience in UX and visual/graphic design
