Description : As Manageability Services Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow the Manageability team for HP Wolf Security which provides cloud services at the core of the security suite. You will be part of the extended software engineering team that’s responsible for HP Wolf Security products such as Sure Click and Sure Sense. Your team provides the HP Wolf Security Controller web application and other ancillary services to enable the management of large-scale endpoint deployments of these
endpoint security products, as well as analysis of the threat intelligence collected from them. This includes both cloud-hosted services that we run and manage ourselves, as well as on-premises instances that our larger Enterprise customers host on their own infrastructure. The services that the team implement support millions of users every day.
Though this is primarily a managerial role, we expect you to know how to develop and build out cloud services at scale. You’ll also understand web development fundamentals and have experience in scaling web applications and tackling performance issues. As a leader for this team, you will be working closely with key internal and external partners. Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills are critical.

What you’ll be doing
Manage and lead HP Wolf Security’s Manageability team. We are mostly based in Cambridge, UK where this role will be based
Work with stakeholders to define requirements and develop new features
Recruit and lead a highly skilled team of software engineers
Work with product management to plan roadmap, adjust project priorities and to continuously release new versions of cloud services, maintaining compatibility with older endpoint releases in a complex end-to-end environment
Be prepared to wear a Product Management hat and make decisions on product direction when needed.
We’d like you to have
A proven track record of successful delivery, support and scaling of web services as well as leading teams to do the same
Thorough knowledge of web development and architecture, containers, deployment to cloud providers
Experience with the additional complexity of delivering web applications for on-premises use
Experience of programming with Python and JavaScript
Experience in Django an advantage
AWS experience an advantage
Solid DBA experience of Postgres, SQLServer or equivalent an advantage
Technical leadership and mentorship experience
Ability to plan a phased, incremental approach to software project delivery
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Degree
