Description :
Manager – Application Development, is responsible for leading development, maintenance & support of applications involving Mainframe batch and CICS front end application for a key portfolio of Brokerage and Trading applications built on a diverse technology stack. The prospective candidate and should have strong hands-on experience in IBM Mainframes. The individual should be able to collaborate with technology cross-commits and business teams to understand requirements and recommend right and scalable solution, lead the development & implementation by adhering to required quality standards. The individual should be able to manage and prioritize work requests for enhancements setting accurate expectations with technology and business partners to implement the change at mutually agreed upon milestones and timelines. The individual should be able to enforce standards and recommendations for maintaining the code quality standards. The individual should have good knowledge of at least one DBMS.
Responsibilities
Design, Delivery & Build ExecutionStrong Knowledge in CICS, IMS, DB2, TSO, Pacbase, JCL, VSAM, Middleware technologiesStrong knowledge of testing tools like HP Quality Center and testing methodologiesStrong exposure to enhancement/development projectsExposure to Production Support (abend resolution, debugging, production issue circumvention)Strong Knowledge in Service Oriented ArchitectureEstimation skillsStrong people management skills. Experience leading teams of 20-30 team membersExposure to Agile methodologyExposure on Mainframe tools (automation/manual testing tools, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery aka DevOps back ground)Ensure compliance of technology solutions with architectural standards and participation in the full development life cycle of the delivered capability.Identify and solution key business and technology drivers that impact architectures, including end-user requirements, existing software distribution capabilities, existing application environment (including legacy and packaged systems), and performance/availability requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.14-16 years of relevant experience.Deep and broad technical background with 10-12 years of experience of progressive scope/impact/responsibility working with relevant enterprise technologies.7+ years of project management experience with a proven track record for delivering projects and driving execution.Demonstrated experience and success in influencing, leading, and coaching.Demonstrated reasoning and troubleshooting skills.Technical skill requirements vary per domain.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Tivoli Work scheduler (TWS), Mainframe System, RDBMS, SumoLogic, Dynatrace (Gomez) concepts is a plus.Knowledge of Infrastructure (to include Middleware) components (e.g. Storage, Message queue (MQ), WebSphere, Managed file transfer (MFT) etc.) is a plus.ITIL framework certification is a plus.Experience with development or support of applications within the Financial Services industry (preferably in Investments/Asset Management).
