ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
Epicor Prophet 21 – P21 Epicor Prophet 21 is purpose-built to drive growth, modernize workflows, and build deep customer connections. Prophet 21 offers full range of functionality, including in-depth Inventory & supply chain solutions, Warehouse management, Finance and accounting, customer relationship management, eCommerce, business intelligence, and more for distributor ranging for simple pick, pack, and ship to extensive multi-order channel processing with fulfillment services.
TECH STACK:
The technology stacks used to build this product for our web and windows offering are .NET, C# – MVC, SQL, Angular, Rest services.
We also offer a lightweight Mobile Hybrid (iOS/Android) App using Angular and cordova to make it available on the App Store. All these UI and server components are hosted in Azure as IaaS
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As the Software Development Manager, you will have technical ownership of mission-critical systems for the P21 (Epicor Prophet 21) program. Responsibilities include direct management of a team of engineers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.
You will lead a talented team of product developers with direction, coaching, and support to ensure the successful execution of objectives.
Provide timely and clear work direction to deliver outcomes.
Establish functional requirements and review solutions to ensure organizational needs are met.
Assigns and prioritizes work tasks via SCRUM
Select and oversee implementation of one or more software development methodologies.
Ensure development processes are tracked and followed.
Will act as a scrum master on projects under development
Identifies and addresses staff training and career/development needs
Understand product architecture and demonstrate the same as required
Work with the development team and provide feature estimates
Mentor and support the developers and review deliverables and provide performance feedback
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MCA or related technical discipline.
10+ years overall experience in Development and 3+ years in Project Management/ as Development Manager.
3+ years of experience managing developers and, stakeholders (Internal and External).
Hands-on experience in Agile development, Programming languages, System Design, and work on open source. Product development background is a must
Experience developing/managing enterprise applications.
Deep understanding of Software development principles and Object-Oriented Design.
Azure cloud
People management and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
ERP or related product functional experience
Setting up processes for code quality & coding practices.
Deep hands-on technical expertise in distributed systems design
Strong verbal and written communication skills and with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts and ideas.
Demonstrated technical leadership and Strong business acumen
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proven track record of developing products in Content Management, ERP software
Experience with .NET, Azure cloud, Angular, Windows Services and C#
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
