Description : The T-Mobile flagship App team is all about delivering rich digital experiences to customers of T-Mobile.
In T-Mobile’s App team, we work cross-functionally to understand the linkage between T-Mobile’s business goals, business architectures, and technology architectures – and strive to further T-Mobile’s business goals via organic or inorganic evolution of T-Mobile’s architectures.
Development Manager oversees a team of app developers who are responsible for analysis, architecture, design and development of Android and iOS apps and Operational Support. He/She is responsible for planning and roadmap for the flagship App team and owns the quality for the applications and services this team provides. He/She Demonstrates knowledge of industry best practices, and a deep understanding how MobileApps operate. This position will collaborate with other internal team to gather business needs and priorities; as well as provide thought leadership, and technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject area;
5 years’ experience in Telecom and working with Android and iOS app development.
Experience managing large teams and multi-million dollar budgets.
Knowledge of Android and iOS app design, and SDK Integration.
Experience with the Agile/Scrum methods
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders.
Passionate about learning new technologies.
Project Management
Constantly improves the development processes, tools and methodologies used in the development group.
Collaborate on analysis, architecture, design, and development of mobile device applications for Android and iOS.
Works with multiple stakeholders to understand project and business priorities and schedule work with development staff based on those priorities.
Own department budgets for systems, tools and NTW staff
Delivers high quality products on time and within budget
Defines work efforts related to projects, enhancements, and break fixes.
Evaluates work effort status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team’s effectiveness.
Presents information on projects, initiatives or other subjects to peers, teams and upper management.
Provides ongoing reconciliation between long-term goals and short-term actions.
Relationship and People Management
Effectively manages team of FTE Engineers to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations.
Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.
Supports team in creating training and career development plans and ensures assignments with increasing levels of responsibility are given to staff.
Oversees technical relationships with multiple assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
