Role

This is a Manager position for strategic growth program, based out of Pune. This is a very strong position that offers full ownership quality deliveries of the applications. As a manager you will be accountable and responsible for this application from all aspects related to customer commitments, FTR deliveries, release quality, release processes, application health and performance along with team/stakeholder management and other day to day operations

Successfully lead SDLC activities of major cross-department initiatives with broad scope and long-term business implications. Partner with business to identify innovative solutions and drive strategic decisions. Develop business case in alignment with the MasterCard objectives.

Provide technical leadership and direction to teams to deliver products and platform

Work closely with product, architecture and engineering teams.

Provide recommendation to Senior Management on selection of technologies and strategic technical direction for the department

Establish & monitor test automation objectives for the department and staff members to align with department strategies and objectives

Lead implementation of processes and supporting tools per the evolving needs of the organization. Plan overall project scope as well as define scope for each phase and iteration to meet business needs/time-to-market needs.

Ensure the project or effort is adequately staffed; trained and managed. Ensure personnel have appropriate skills and behaviours; and effectively communicate performance results; as necessary, managing each effort within approved manpower and budget guidelines.

Focuses on people development and effective feedback time to time

Demonstrates leadership by mentoring juniors and supporting peers. Ability to plan SDLC and own & drive towards quality delivery, FTR, CTQ and CSFs.

Automates and simplifies team development, test (Unit, SIT, UAT etc), deployment, and operations processes.

Understand the challenges that team is facing and help them address, be it related to stakeholders, process, quality, operations, delivery etc

Participate in code review and driving quality of deliveries.

Strong communication skills, with an ability to express and delivering high code quality working with a engineering team

Perform knowledge sharing and coaching and mentoring

Participate & contribute in talent acquisition and recruitment activities

Provide guidance to teams on processes such as Agile, Lean, etc. and facilitate defining development standards, automation and tools to be used

Establish coding and testing standards for enterprise API, web and mobile based application solutions. Follow design and development methodologies (e.g.: Agile, SCRUM) to drive feature velocity, quality and predictability.

Develops/monitors quality gating and automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API vs UI level functionality

Possesses a strong knowledge of programming, tools, architecture patterns, and BDD

Ensures Performance and Scalability for applications and platforms with exposure to DevOps

Demonstrated expertise in test automation for Web and Mobile applications using latest tools and techniques

Demonstrated expertise in reviewing BDD/TDD practices, analyses, test frameworks, and management tools

Demonstrated thought-leadership and organizational expertise in various IT disciplines; experience relationship building across large-scale organizations
All about You

Bachelor Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Engineering or IT Required & Master’s degree in related discipline Preferred

Experience on Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services and SQL development

Experience with test automation and test strategies where drive quality engineering

Knowledge of cloud native development such as pivotal cloud foundry etc.

Experience with software development methodologies, particularly with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Leadership skills to coach other co-workers utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requires ability to provide overall business or technical project planning for product enhancements

Experience solutioning for large scale deployments including large enterprises or service providers, banking or payment solutions.

Hands on experience of working with tools like MPP, Jenkins, Confluence, JIRA, Rally.

Experience working with multiple global customers and distributed teams

Deep understanding of, a practical experience with developing enterprise app for mobile responsive web platform.

Brings strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and select third parties

Solid experience of running programs and project teams while taking ownership of delivery steams

Excellent verbal and written skills ARE A MUST
