ESBO (European Service Business Organisation) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities within the digital media and advertising industry with the goal of creating scalable services and businesses on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs. The team is working to bring value for partners, advertisers, and agencies through its unique insights into TV viewership in the shifting media landscape.

Role and Responsibilities
The Media Content Manager will work closely with other ESBO team functions including Content Acquisition, Content Planning and Scheduling, Product Management and Development and Media Marketing to support the technical delivery, development and implementation of media content and broadcast channels on the Samsung TV Plus platform. In addition, the role will also be responsible for identifying best practices for video and metadata delivery and evolving and forming daily operations as necessary.
Working closely with the TV Plus Business Development and Product teams, both in ESBO and Samsung HQ, the role will implement and handle the co-ordination of content and video media management for the Samsung ‘Owned and Operated’ channel sets on the Samsung TV Plus AVOD platform.
This position will have accountability for leading and co-ordinating channel media content delivery, including video assets, metadata files and programming imagery. The role also requires and excellent knowledge of broadcasting workflows and media management and editing packages and software.
The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering against an aggressive business plan. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership in creating opportunities and technical workflows.
O&O Channel content management and delivery
Co-ordination and management of content delivery ensuring that content objectives, platform technical specifications and standards are reached and always met.
Identify best practices for media delivery and evolve daily operations as necessary.
Collaborate closely with internal technical and content planning/scheduling teams to ensure aggressive channel launch targets are met.
Oversee video collection to ensure all media is archived appropriately and can be readily obtained.
Technical / service development, support – Consultancy
Guiding ESBO and content partners with technical engagement during content acquisition and post prod content management and processing.
Support Platform product enhancements and technical developments.
Deliver new more effective and efficient working practices and a robust media management workflow.
Provide technical support to the Content Planning, Scheduling and Marketing Teams.
Provide solutions to overcome content delivery and media management issues, both pre-launch and on air.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (must include experience in a video post prod/media management environment)
Vast experience with video delivery formats, containers and encoding/transcoding practices.
Extensive knowledge of media delivery protocols, including Aspera Faspex, aws CLI and Signiant Media Shuttle.
Strong experience with content metadata including .json, .xml, .csv, and MovieLabs formats.
Experience with content secure content housing and management including aws s3 and Azure Blob.
Experience of developing and implementing media management work flows.
Demonstrated skills with video editing software platforms and content creation experience. An understanding of Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects is a bonus.
Experience with SDK and API implementations and functions.
Experience with media encryption methods and requirements (DRM, AES-128/256).
Experience with broadcasting operations and both linear and VOD delivery pipelines.
Experience leading and implementing complex, high-impact technical projects with cross-functional teams.
Experience breaking down technical discussions for non-technical teams.
Experience working on joint product development and technology integration initiatives.
Strong understanding of digital media, advertising and consumer electronics.
Strong problem solving skills such as prioritisation, critical thinking and hypothesis development
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
Comfort speaking to technical and product details pertaining to content partner on-boarding and media management activities.
