Description : Experienced advisor sought to Work as part of a small team to provide support and advice for a diverse range of higher education students.Birkbeck, University of London are looking for a full-time or part-time Mental Health Advisor to support our diverse student body, from which over 1,000 students have a declared mental health condition.You will provide specialist advice and support for students with mental health difficulties. You will work as part of a small Mental Health Advice team meeting students to ensure that appropriate support is in place for them within the College, ensuring that they are engaging with external support where needed, and that students are well enough to study using the College Wellness Review policy and procedure (http://www.bbk.ac.uk/registry/policies/documents/wellness-review.pdf).You will offer professional support and advice to colleagues in other Student Services and across the College and will also liaise with specialist mentors and tutors.You will be an experienced mental health advisor with a relevant mental health qualification.
