By joining the global Philips Hue business, you‘ll be working on the world’s leading internet connected home lighting system, which is changing the way people interact and experience lighting. The Hue ecosystem is expanding rapidly through new lights, accessories, and exciting new use-cases such as using lighting to make your home more secure or create an immersive home theater experience.
You’ll be part of our fast-growing multi-disciplinary Philips Hue engineering team in the Bay Area. We develop products that integrate with other leading Smart Home and Entertainment products, enabling functionality ranging from voice control to synchronizing lighting with games, movies and music. This position is focusing on development of our mobile app, which is one of the world’s leading apps using the latest Flutter technology to support both Android and iOS from a single code base.

What you’ll do
Expand and improve the feature set of our mobile app build with the Flutter framework (Android and iOS) through prototyping, implementation, and launch.
Be part of a multidisciplinary team (App, Cloud, Embedded) that together builds new Philips Hue products end to end. You represent the Hue App in the design by knowing its capabilities and limits.
Optimize our product experience by aligning with partners, performing data analysis and providing input to steer the product roadmap.
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
At least 2 years of experience developing mobile applications for Android or iOS, with proven projects shipping high quality software to customers. Experience with Flutter/Dart is preferred.
Knowledge of web technologies and networking protocols, interacting with Cloud and device APIs using HTTP or Websockets. Experience with video streaming is a plus.
Soft skills: can-do mentality, team player, agile advocate, passion for software development and IoT / Smart Home products, end-to-end focus, natural curiosity to explore new technologies and platforms
