The Global Mobile Team is responsible for accelerating the footprint of the American Express app across 22 markets globally. Our goal is to drive a market-leading experience though customer-centered design delivered in partnership with stakeholders across the company. We’re looking for an energetic and highly organized individual to join our team as an Analyst to support the development of the mobile app in the 21 international markets.
As an Analyst, you will support the Product Managers in the mobile team and assist with leading the international development of new mobile functionality, as well as innovating in the tooling space to support mobile team operations. Success in this role will also be defined by the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders in our international markets, some of these the Analyst will be the primary mobile relationship manager for, others in a supporting capacity, with the overall aim of driving CM’s to be app active, increase login frequency, and deepen engagement with the mobile app channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading implementation of various features & capabilities in the mobile apps (iOS & Android) across the international markets
Acting as primary point of contact in a relationship manager capacity role for Amex stakeholders based in some opportunity and growth markets, and supporting product managers in other regions
Leading development with engineering teams for the internationalisation of mobile app features & functionality
Supporting the mobile app backlog, ensuring our engineering partners have requisite detail to interpret user-stories & success criteria.
Contribution to the development of the international mobile app roadmap
Innovating the tooling and processes to best optimise mobile app development & internationalisation
Actively participating in pre launch app feature testing, release path activites & app store submissions, as well as post launch production environment debugging
Participation in strategic development process – understanding platform limitations & opportunities to ensure our app remains a market-leading product across the world
Maintaining product documentation

We are looking for:
Experience in product management & mobile applications preferable
Strong multitasker and someone who enjoys a wide variety of challenges each day, this role has many different aspects that will need to be managed simultaneously
Genuine interest in the mobile & digital space
Collaborative – our roles are stroongly partnership driven; working with product managers, local market teams & technology partners is vital
Technically minded & resourceful – with an appreciation of how to develop mobile features
Proactive and enthusiastic – self-starter with a strong affinity to bring projects to a close quickly
Strategic thinker – ability to see both the big picture and the details and to translate business requirements into actionable features and delivery plan
Detail oriented – active involvement in backlog development requires a process-driven mindset with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage details in an environment with changing priorities
Strong communicator – we’re looking for someone who will speak up among our various teams & ceremonies
