Description : This is an exciting time for the Trust’s People directorate. Having completed most of a recent restructure reflecting the needs of our staff, there is an exciting career opportunity within the Organisational Development (OD) team. The post holder will work strategically and collaboratively with internal stakeholder groups to promote and embed its vision, values and working principles.
The OD and Training and Development teams collectively focus on creating an environment where staff thrive, and where leadership, through compassion, engagement and role modelling of the Trust values, ensure our staff and teams are motivated, have a sense of pride in all they do and maintain optimal levels of morale.
Importantly, the OD team’s activities carry a direct line of sight through to improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of our patient services. We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, eager individual to learn to be a training lead within a busy team with a broad remit.
The OD projects administrator provides day-to-day project and administration support to the Trust’s OD team. Working within team and Trust policies the post holder will work autonomously and manage their own workload within agreed team project deadlines. Support will always be available from the respective project lead/service lead for complex matters.
The post will be to maintain the various IT databases and administration records, the team’s various projects and act as administrator/secretary to various OD-led committees. The post holder will arrange
meetings, distribute meeting/project documentation, undertake project fieldwork (surveys and listening/diagnostic exercises) and support delivery of training courses including securing training venues.
The post holder will act as the first point of contact for staff and managers. As such the post holder will be expected to display excellent customer service and communication skills at all times.

Supporting the OD strategy, reporting to the OD projects officer, the post holder will:
Act as secretary to committees and working groups
Complete detailed minutes and paperwork such as ordering items for staff lottery in an accurate and timely manner
Design and undertake non-complex bespoke staff surveys in support of OD projects
Use tact, diplomacy, and effective communication skills to motivate and encourage staff to participate in staff surveys
Extract data from surveys
Monitor survey response rates, and work in conjunction with the Communications team to prepare HR, staff and leadership updates
Motivate and encourage staff to participate in the survey
Proactively operate the Trust’s Long Service Award scheme
Produce the monthly reports using in house systems such as ESR
Support the OD team’s running of the Trust’s coaching and mentoring community of practice
Attend staff engagement and OD-led training events to support the facilitator in running them by providing administration support
Attend Trust induction, staff lottery events, Best Practice Day and other staff events to promote staff benefits, the staff app to new staff, assist visiting providers
Post in the Trust social media groups in line with the Trust’s Electronic Media Policy.
