We are looking for a Patient Services Specialist to serve as a point of contact for patients with questions about their patient balances. You will be communicating with patients via phone and e-mail and providing exemplary service each step of the way.ResponsibilitiesAnswer phone calls and emails from patients, explaining their patient responsibilityIdentify billing issues and solve underlying issues with claims. Escalate issues to the right team members on the billing teamCollect payments over the phone where applicableProvide exemplary customer serviceRequired Skills / ExperienceFamiliarity with medical billing concepts is a MUST. Applicants with no medical billing experience will not be considered for this role.BONUS: experience working in dermatologyA successful candidate must understand in detail how medical insurance works and possess a knack for diagnosing and reviewing claims-related issues.Strong computer skills, excellent typing skills and ability to learn new Practice Management systems. Experience with Modernizing Medicine is a plus but not required.Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor.We are a medical billing / revenue cycle management company serving private medical practices throughout the country.
