About the role
We’ve a great opportunity to be a People Data and Insights Specialist who will work as part of the People Strategy and Experience team to provide data insight and reporting services to enable continuous improvement of business processes and decision making to enhance the employee experience.
You’ll be focusing on two core areas of ownership. The production of People Information Reporting, ensuring accurate, timely data and data analysis to support HR activities, including the design and build of data models. As well as working as part of a project team with key people from Finance and Information Services to provide our Senior Leadership Teams with meaningful data to enable them to make commercially focussed business choices.
We’re looking for you to produce and deliver data through a robust and effective reporting service to stakeholders, along with insights and data led recommendations though modelling and dashboard building skills to provide useful insights and make recommendations on people productivity.
You’ll also make sure that the presentation of information gives clear, measurable insight, as the specialist you will be confident in what the data is telling us and able to present findings in a suitable format for the target audience, either using dashboards, Power BI, Microsoft Office suite or in person.
In line with our values (and yours too) you’ll be working as one team, through engaging with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and continuously improve insights, along with collaborating with other specialists from across the People Directorate, using influencing skills and a positive contribution at team meetings to accelerate the effectiveness of the function.
About you
So, you are interested in what the opportunity is all about, so what are we looking for from you?
You’ll have proven experience and knowledge of common HR metrics and KPI’s (human capital reporting), along with proven experience of HR analytics, interpreting data into meaningful insights with technical skills in manipulation, evaluation, and visualisation of data.
We’re looking for you to have proven experience of handling large datasets through platforms such as HRIS and proven experience of using Business Intelligence tools and techniques. It would be great if you have experience of business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau or equivalent, querying relational databases using SQL, knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R, use of BigQuery.
You’ll have proven experience of interpreting and analysing complex information and data, along with producing performance dashboards, management information reports, HR metrics as well as interpreting KPIs and workforce data to support organisational needs.
We’re looking for you to have experience of working with and presenting to stakeholders at all levels, so you’ll have strong interpersonal skills to challenge and communicate complex information to help others to make good use data to reach evidence-led choices.
