We have an opportunity for a full-time Planning Liaison Officer to join our Development Management Team on a temporary basis until 31 March 2022.

About the team
Our Development Management team has a strong reputation and we are looking for individuals to join our team to help us continue to deliver and improve.
By joining us you will be responsible for researching land and/or property information held in both manual and digital formats and helping customers in Wiltshire understand whether they require planning permission.
You will be part of a friendly and busy team, where you will need to have excellent attention to detail.
About the role
As a Planning Liaison Officer you will be responsible for providing general information on planning to customers, answering queries on whether planning permission is needed using the relevant legislation, and registering requests for pre-application advice.
In addition to providing professional advice, you will be required to carry out property searches using a variety of historical records, plans, and a mapping system to produce accurate search results.
About you
We are looking for people with excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail who can demonstrate the importance of colleague and customer care.
You will be experienced in using a variety of IT packages (including Microsoft, GIS mapping systems) and be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
A confident communicator with excellent customer care skills, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to use your initiative to solve problems and contribute ideas to improving work practices.
Attention to detail is an essential skill required in this position due to the impact of the information provided in the search result.
