Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for the successful execution of website & app products across the ViacomCBS Live Event portfolio (Award Shows & On-The-Ground Festivals), including brands like MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, VidCon, and more. You will work side-by-side with UX designers, engineering, and platform teams to deliver best-in-class product experiences. You will also have an opportunity to help shape processes and streamline product development and operations.
Primary responsibilities involve product ideation, writing product specs, prioritizing requirements, preparing comprehensive project plans, creating/tracking timelines, managing the development process, and assuring product quality through to testing and launch. You will act as a key communication liaison between teams to ensure deliverables are on time and stakeholder needs and business goals are met. The ideal candidate has a strong product sense, as well as organizational and problem-solving skills. They’re hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
Be a strong voice for the consumer inside the business and communicate the product vision, strategy, and objectives for new features
Ensure on-time product delivery and support throughout each event life cycle
Write, prioritize, and accept product user stories
Define and monitor success metrics; develop useful insights for product improvements
Create and maintain thorough product and feature documentation
Support and collaborate on product roadmap
Provide input and promote workflow/process optimization
Coordinate and manage relationships with external technology vendors
Keep on top of industry, emerging trends & technologies
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in managing web and/or app projects
2+ years in consumer-facing product management
1+ years of product ownership using Agile development methodologies
Additional Qualifications:
Strong project management skills and proven ability to set priorities
Experience in event- and/or sponsorship-based product development is a plus
Self-starter, accountable, empowered
Meticulous and organized
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Curious in nature and able to easily adopt new tools and technologies
