The Role:
We’re looking for a Website Product Manager to join our growing team at Swytch. The role requires someone with strong commercial awareness combined with an understanding of web technologies and an entrepreneurial outlook.
The Website Product Manager will require strong time management and prioritisation, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to lead through collaboration with effective stakeholder management. They must also be able to work effectively with a wide range of teams — from business leaders to development teams — driving product success whilst working in an environment of changing priorities and ambiguity.
They must be able to understand technical issues well enough to make the right decisions about when to prioritise getting a new feature, rather than when to reduce technical debt or improve resilience.
They will take ownership of the entire product lifecycle across all web services, working with key stakeholders to shape a product roadmap that is aligned to an ambitious growth strategy.
The in-house development team is responsible for developing and maintaining our three websites – main, pre-order and webstore – and the product manager will work collaboratively across internal stakeholder groups to drive a compelling vision and provide direction for future enhancements and ongoing growth. The product manager will lead new iterations of the websites to provide the development team with greater flexibility to grow and scale the websites as new feature enhancements are introduced.
Responsibilities include:
Ownership of full project lifecycle
Lead meetings with the stakeholders and delivery teams
Defining, communicating and executing the long-term business strategy of our product
Assess overall performance and user experience of our sites
Analyse website traffic and user behaviour.
Find the technical blockers before they happen and take ownership of rectifying these
Through your analysis, identify areas for improvement in the user experience
Support backlog prioritisation to ensure projects are managed to time
Be the recognised expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree
Experience working with a variety of stakeholders
Experience with software development
Experience with UX/ CX
Experience in user journeys and process flows (cross-functional flowcharts)
An eye for exceptional, functional design
Good understanding of e-commerce solutions (e.g. checkouts, ordering portals, integrations)
Experience working on roll-out/implementation of digital / IT solutions
The ability to set clear objectives and develop plans to meet them
Excellent written and verbal communication
An entrepreneurial spirit, independent and creative thinking, and leadership through collaboration, not authority
Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions
Competitive salary £50 – 55k per annum
