As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE), you will work with product managers and developers to plan solid test strategies, write and execute tests that validate new improvements to our systems. Test automation is integral part of your work. Working within frameworks created to support our team, you will develop and implement automated test suites. You test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QA Engineers are not pure black box testers; they test at the appropriate level and are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests to test at UI and/or API level using Java based test automation frameworks. You’ll look for key metrics that show the areas of strategic test value, weed out inefficiencies in our team’s development and testing processes. You will work with Software Development Engineers and Product Managers to understand features and technical implementation. You will develop automated tests to help fasten testing cycles and release faster to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible to deliver manual/automated solutions to test customer facing features.
Key job responsibilities:
Writing test plans, test cases for new features
Defining quality guidelines and processes for testing and releasing software to production
Participating in defining the automation requirements
Understanding production workflows to be able to close the gaps in testing.
Drive efficiency in testing at various phases of development by process improvements, test environment updates or providing automation requirements.
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with Demonstrated QA experience in an SDET or QAE role.
Knowledge on testing frameworks and automation experience.
Knowledge of accounting and finance processes.
Reporting skills, proficient in creating status reports based on automation results
Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness
Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate impacts and to understand business requirements.
Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
Experience with API automation testing including unit test automation frameworks
