What You’ll Do:
As part of the science team you will work with the Director of Calm Science, Calm Science team and the Scientific Advisory Board to support research. This position requires substantial capacity to work effectively within a team at a fast pace. The successful candidate must have excellent organization skills, interpersonal and communication skills, strong time management skills, and the ability to use good judgment in daily tasks.
Coordinate the development of study materials for institutional review board (IRB) approval, including study documents, procedural documents, participant materials, and recruitment materials.
Coordinate research initiatives, which includes identifying, recruiting, and retaining patients in studies.
Implement research studies.
Work with the Scientific Advisory Board to develop meeting agendas, organize meeting materials, communicate with external investigators on behalf of the board
Implement and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to Calm Science
Collect and disseminate research study data for reporting findings and progress to the Director of Calm Science and the Scientific Advisory Board.
Conduct literature searches, assist with manuscript/conference abstract preparation and grant preparation and submission
Participate with the team writing reports, peer reviewed publications, and other outreach materials
Who You Are:
Completed Master’s degree in exercise science, psychology, social sciences, public health or related field
At least 5 or more years working as a research or project coordinator
Experience conducting behavioral health research
Experience with technology project management (methodologies and tools)
Experience working with IRB, submitting applications, and managing all study documents
Understanding of mental health outcomes and appropriate measurement tools
Demonstrate experience preparing NIH grant submissions (e.g., budget justification, statement of work, biosketch)
Demonstrate success managing large projects to meet deadlines
Experience conducting literature reviews and reporting findings
Ability to communicate to science and lay public audiences
Self-driven, able to work independently, problem solve, efficient and accurate in a fast paced environment
Some experience with quantitative data analysis
Experience conducting interviews, focus groups
Ability to independently lead research projects including the development of proposals, research questions, methods, analysis and writing
Experience implementing mindfulness interventions (or similar)
