We have flexible 8 hour schedule options Monday – Friday beginning as early as 5:30am or as late as 9:00am in a casual work environment every day! PTO accruals begin day one of employment. 401k eligibility after 6 months with a great company match.Position Summary: This position oversees the collection activity for an assigned segment of Out-of-State Medicaid claims on behalf of hospital/physician clients and performs collection duties in accordance with established federal and state regulations.Key Responsibilities may include the following: Review technical billing (UB04) and professional billing (1500) components provided by Client Hospital for accuracy. Make necessary changes as required in accordance with billing laws. Maintains account integrity by documenting account activities to ensure audit trail.Follow established protocol and processes to contact appropriate parties to retrieve proper payment by assessing the situation for i.e. Authorization, additional allowance.Analyze all assigned account delinquencies and account activity to ensure timely and accurate payments from appropriate payers.Communicate with Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations regarding unpaid balances.Additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications: Required– High School Graduate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in healthcare revenue processes and/or 1-2 years college (or the equivalent combination of education and experience).Required – Hospital/physician collections experience, Medicaid knowledge, strong working knowledge of the UB04Abilities/Skills- Computer literacy with spreadsheets, word-processing and database software and/or business systems (Word, Outlook, Excel). Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. Must be self-driven and demonstrate relentless initiative toward researching and ultimately resolving claims.Well-developed communication skills – oral, written, listening. Effective interpersonal communication.Customer Focus- Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.Team Player- Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team; shares wins and successes; fosters open dialogue.Self-confidence– A belief in one’s capability to accomplish a task and select an effective approach to a task or problem.
