Business Engineering’s job is to build high impact internal applications, interfaces, and integrations to automate processes, optimize workflows, and solve a wide variety of business problems. We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who is passionate about building business critical tools to automate away the mundane and inefficient and to enable DataRobot’s business units to scale and grow.
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will work closely with a team of Business Architects, System Admins, and Business Engineers in a fast-paced and agile development environment. You will develop Apex software solutions for a wide variety of internal stakeholders at DataRobot. You will also be a key contributor in design decisions for our Salesforce instance’s technical architecture, placing an emphasis on scalability and reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with the Salesforce Administrator and Business Architects to validate and solution for business requirements with security, limits, and scalability in mind.
Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce*, (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements,
Develop custom User Interface development, including Visualforce and Lightning pages and Lightning Web Components
Assist with Salesforce configuration whenever necessary
Manage and develop integrations using Salesforce APIs and connectors like Celigo and Mulesoft Connect
Guide the team on adhering to Salesforce governor limits and best practices
Maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development
Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
Create and manage a technical debt roadmap
You bring the following skills to the team:
Minimum 5 years Salesforce development experience
Deep understanding of the Salesforce Sales Cloud
Able to work independently
Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members
Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I
Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I) are preferred
Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Java
General web development experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript
A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices
Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications
Experience working with large data sets and bulkification
Competency in other languages / development (XML, Flex, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services) is preferred
