Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by AHIMA. Abstracting required clinical information from the medical record.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Coding: Reviews medical records for the determination of accurate assignment of all documented diagnoses and procedures. Adheres to Standards of Ethical Coding (AHIMA).· Abstracting: Reviews medical records to determine accurate required abstracting elements (facility/client specific elements).· Coding Quality: Demonstrates ability to achieve 98% or higher accuracy and consistency in the selection of diagnoses and procedures. Demonstrates ability to achieve accuracy and consistency in abstracting elements defined by per facility.· Coding Productivity: Meets and/or exceeds Conifer’s coding productivity guidelines.· Professional Development: Stays current with AHA Official Coding and Reporting Guidelines, CMS and other agency directives for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-CPT coding. Attends mandatory coding seminars on annual basis for Outpatient coding. Quarterly review of AHA Coding Clinic. Attends Quarterly Coding Updates and all coding conference calls.MUST HAVE CORE COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: · Must be ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-CPT certified – CPC/CIC/COC (AAPC) / CCS (AHIMA) certification will be great.· Must be a subject matter expert with minimum of 5 years coding experience in acute care in any one of the following specialties:Outpatient E/MSurgery CodingEmergency Department (Facility)· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the context of being able to provide feedback on mails and calls with coders so they don’t mistake it for criticism and dialogue with US clients that facilitate problem definition and solving over mails and calls.· Ability to identify problems, escalate, work with peers, reporting manager to develop a course of action and follow through to resolution is required.· Experience of minimum 1 year in working with new clients via remote access and ensuring their acceptance of coding delivery and accuracy is a must.DESIRED PROFILE· Graduate (Preferably in life sciences)· Good knowledge of Human Anatomy and Physiology· Excellence in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelinesCompensation: Acusis will offer you a cut above the general market standards along with benefits such as Medical Insurance, LTA, Personal Accident Coverage, Life Insurance, & Gratuity.Job Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentPay: ₹30,000.00 – ₹50,000.00 per monthBenefits:Health insuranceInternet reimbursementLeave encashmentLife insuranceWork from homeSchedule:Day shiftMorning shiftSupplemental Pay:Shift allowanceCOVID-19 considerations:YesEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:total work: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:CPC/CIC/COC (Preferred)Work Remotely:Yes
