About the Role
The objective of the Transformation team is to deliver the omnichannel roadmap for GMG which comprises of:
optimization of existing products in the ecosystem
managing the go-to-market strategy and delivery of new products to support omnichannel growth
bringing brands into the online space
The objective and scope of this role is to:
Be accountable for the success of complex digital product(s) considering both customer value and business ROI, delivering the right solution for the business for existing and new omnichannel projects
Ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary
Evaluate new systems and functionalities of existing systems to support business to drive growth
Be responsible for full product lifecycle from strategy, objective setting and ideation through to development and business adoption plus rapid testing of new features
Be responsible for building product roadmap and defining and prioritizing backlog, maintaining backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
Measure and optimize the features and functionalities of products in your remit, ensuring all products have capability to collect data and feedback
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are captured
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities
Build a scalable and sustainable strategy which considers aggressive 5-10x global growth goals and potential international expansion
All product features should consider omnichannel experience and not eCommerce in isolation
Gather and analyze data and use to build and support business case
Evaluation & Implementation Responsibilities
Clarify requirements from business stakeholders and validate them against user needs and tech effort
Validate stakeholder assumptions, and make sure asks to align to the actual needs
Define a robust product backlog
Own the refinement and prioritization of your product backlog to ensure that the deliverables drive consumer and business value.
Clearly specify acceptance criteria and definition of done
Continuously measure and analyze existing products, working with analytics team to carry out testing as appropriate and identify improvements
People Management Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on product features and align their requirements with deliverables
Identify and solve dependencies with other product teams to minimize delays
At every stage, collaborate with all parties to make sure everything is staying on track
Define goals and KPIs for your team
Develop talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
Drive a culture of feedback and coaching in the Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement
CRM Specifics
Drive the roadmap of CDP to provide a data-driven overview of all customer interactions across the entirety of GMG touchpoints, both digital and offline.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for CDP implementation and enhancements.
Enable the BUs to deploy data-led, event-based, personalized communications across touchpoints including; but not limited to; email, SMS and app notifications.
Design a member engagement experience which will unlock growth opportunities and deliver on customer needs using data, customer research and competitor review, considering each point of the journey and identifying strategies to tackle retention, churn and advocacy.
Identify most relevant metrics for success, and partner with Analytics team to deploy actionable reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or relevant field
Relevant certification in Advanced Program/Project Management Professional (PgMP/PMP/Prince 2)
Relevant certification in Agile/Scrum development – CSM/CSPO
8+ years of experience working in a Digital role
5+ years working as a Product Owner or Product Manager type role
Demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects
