Your Opportunity
Team is looking for Senior Software Engineer who can drive design and architecture of next generation Walmart suite of products keeping scalability, robustness and security aspects in focus. Help teams build cloud-based applications and products to cater with various data requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
As a part of Enterprise Business Services within Walmart Global Tech India @ Bengaluru, who could work on building solutions for various business functions across multiple markets, your design and solution will have a significant impact on day-to-day running of Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple countries, large number of users and data.
Your Responsibility
Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting quality, speed, innovation and create impact
Mentoring/Coaching team members & guiding them on best practices
Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
Focus on reusability, frameworks, patterns and configurations tools for faster development and deployment cycles
You will work with engineering & user experience teams to create high level and low level designs, involve in design discussions and technical feasibility study.
Your Qualifications
B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science
6+ years of experience in design and development of highly -scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions
Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns
Having proficiency with these technologies like Java, J2EE, HTML5, CSS3, Java Script along with React & Node JS frameworks
Hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java/NodeJS
Good knowledge on Cloud, Microservice, Serverless Architecture and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Experience in deploying solutions on any of these cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
Working knowledge of SQL /No-SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Mongo DB, Cosmos DB)
Work exposure on Agile methodologies and DevOps would be added advantage
Well versed with Testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG & Selenium
CI/CD Automation experience with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins & Azure DevOps
Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical & innovative solutions
Ability to balance the long-term “big picture” and short-term implications of design decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control
Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology
