As a software engineer on the R&D operations team, you’ll be working on routing technologies to optimize Nuro’s research & development. This is the perfect role for a generalist, full-stack software engineer that has some experience working on routing algorithms and is familiar with geospatial data. About the Role
The Routing team at Nuro builds the full stack of vehicle routing, including core routing algorithms and infrastructure, dynamic routing constraints management and route optimization, route ETA prediction, route simulation and analysis, and large scale simulation platform to inform Nuro’s deployment plan and long term strategy.
As a senior software engineer on the Routing team, you will be designing and building the next generation of routing stack for self-driving vehicles, and working in close collaboration with PMs, data scientists, business, and engineers from other autonomy teams to drive step-change acceleration in the deployment of unsupervised passenger-less autonomy.
About the Work
You’ll be working on building backend infrastructure and routing/scheduling algorithms for a range of products on our R&D Operations team. Some products we’re working on include:
A navigation app that computes the most efficient route for mapping data collection
An automated scheduling system to optimize on-road data collection
A vehicle route planning system that will be used for advanced on-road and closed-course testing
