Purpose of Role:
The Shopper Insights executive will be responsible for using insight and data to understand and implement strong onsite shopper journeys and merchandising on Ocado.com and the Ocado app. We want to make the shopping experience for our customers as simple, smart and inspiring as possible. Working within the wider eCommerce team to help customers easily find their weekly essentials as well as to discover their favourite new products from Ocado’s vast and exciting range.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the eCommerce Strategy & Shopper Insights Manager, in developing an in-depth understanding of customers and their shopping behaviours and sharing knowledge with commercial and customer teams (eCommerce, Trading, Marketing)
Scoping, manipulating, and interpreting detailed analysis, reporting and research to support identification of opportunities and build recommendations for on-site improvement and optimisation.
Working
collaboratively with teams across Customer (Performance and Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Insight) and Trading to deliver a seamless customer experience across on-site and off-site channels.
Improving the quality of our on-site customer journeys by identifying opportunities for improvement across the business to drive better customer experiences whilst increasing conversion, sales, and usage of key features and services (e.g. Smart Pass, Reserved).
Driving innovation and providing inspiration for customers by creating and building new ways to shop or improve the shopping experience that drive conversion and sales and considering differences in needs and motivations across our customer segmentation.
Carrying out category reviews by assessing various sources of insight and data to understand how customers shop a particular category, and how to best leverage through on site levers (e.g. search, content, taxonomy, marketing events, creative elements)
Working closely with Digital Development, producing business cases for and prioritising testing new features to develop a leading customer experience.
Working with Trading and the wider eCommerce team to implement merchandising best practices, and producing and sharing guidelines on how best to leverage on site levers.
Keeping up to date with customer and market trends as well as our competitors.
Building relationships and working closely with Brand Marketing, Insights, Buying, Product, Creative teams as well as suppliers.

Desirable: E-commerce and/or FMCG experience, shopper insights experience
