From 11 November 2021, anyone working in a care home or visiting a care home as part of their work and pre-employment checks will need to be able to present a valid NHS Covid Pass downloadable from the NHS app to demonstrate vaccination against COVID-19 (minimum of 2 doses). From 1 April 2022, the regulations have been extended, to include anyone working in health and social care activities regulated by the CQC and involving direct contact with people. Colleagues employed in these settings will need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum 2 doses) and be able to evidence this as part of pre-employment checks . Please note that if you already work in another health and social care setting (e.g. another care home, home care provider or hospital ward) where you provide direct personal care and you intend to remain in that job, we will be unable to offer you a post with us at the moment. This is due to Public Health England guidance that advises care staff providing direct personal care should not move between facilities due to the risk of transferring coronavirus.
