The OpportunityAs a Software Development Engineer in Test on the Quality Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of incredibly motivated, highly talented professionals who share your desire to raise the QA bar and create the best possible product, service, and experience for our customers.With a passion for high quality, test automation, defect management, and development of best practices, you will join the automation scrum team and work closely with other QA and cross functional team members to support automated testing. You will participate in the Agile/STLC process, scrum ceremonies, ensure accurate effort estimates are submitted, release deadlines are met, and proper QA alignment is achieved.Working on the automation scrum team, you will help build and improve our automation library across web and mobile by creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts utilizing our tech stack consisting of Javascript, Webdriver.io, Jasmine, Chai, Detox, React Native, Espresso, and Earl Grey. You will provide automation guidance, training, support code reviews, and enforce process control points. You will also partner with your EDS and Implementation QA team members to coordinate the expansion and use of our automation library to support specific customer needs and improve product quality.You will also get an opportunity to support manual testing during releases (as needed) to enable the Product Roadmap and assist the Engineering and QA teams in verifying customer requirements. This will allow you to create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases to support the release and subsequent automation process. You will support the defect management process by logging and retesting bugs for both manual and automated testing.You will feel empowered to own your role and showcase ideas and creativity within your area of responsibility. You will be exposed to the world’s premier cloud platform Force.com, a global workforce, a global customer base, the Agile/CI development lifecycle, and have an opportunity to make a real difference on how quality is perceived by our customers.The Skill SetDesign, create, and maintain web and mobile test automation scripts using the following:Web – Webdriver.io, Javascript, Jasmine, Chai, SQLMobile – Detox, React Native, XCode, Android Studios, Espresso, Earl GreyGeneral – Jira, TestRail, Bitbucket, Circle CI, Browserstack, App CenterBuild a robust automated Regression library that ensures the quality of the product by testing critical/key components and features across different platforms, browsers, and configurationsCreate/maintain detailed manual test cases that represent automation scripts to verify understanding of the process before automation beginsMaintain automation library based on new features or enhancements made to the applicationExecute automation library within each sprint and prior to the main release, create/close bugs in Jira, and execute retests (as needed)Learn/Understand the architecture, components, and features of the Sitetracker application to successfully automate the processes within itAssist with manual testing during the feature and Regression sprints (as needed)Ask clarifying questions to ensure proper understanding of requirements and acceptance criteriaSupport Performance testing of components and features that have high utilization or time-sensitive requirementsParticipate in the Agile/STLC process, scrum ceremonies, and clearly communicate/present accurate status updates, issues, and ideas along with accurate effort estimates to the QA or Engineering teamsImplement and adhere to best practices when creating, reviewing, or executing manual or automated testsPartner with multiple teams/individuals to coordinate QA activities that involve test preparation, test execution, defect management, etc.Adapt to changing business needs and adhere to release schedule/deadlinesSupport a global workforce/customer base and be available off-hours to enable tickets to be completed by the release/sprint deadlinePartner with the entire QA team to ensure QA process consistency and standardization across our internal customersTest large scale, complex systemsWithin 60 Days, You’ll: Build strong relationships with QA and other cross functional teams as you help drive quality into the Agile/STLC processLearn/Familiarize yourself with our internal processes and proceduresBe assigned to automation tickets to support Performance or Regression testing, attend status meetings, and provide effort estimates and updates on automation activitiesParticipate in manual Regression testing to improve your product knowledge while verifying the release had no adverse impact on production functionalityHave a general understanding of our tech stack and an awareness of what our current automation library coversWithin 180 Days, You’ll: Proactively seek to mitigate quality risk within your domain by identifying gaps / opportunities to improve process quality or automation coverageServe as an automation process expert within the QA organization and provide accurate/sound advice and guidance for QA activitiesHave a deep understanding of 50% of the product components, features, and workflows across the web applicationBe proactive in ensuring the automation library covers production issues that ariseDeliver meaningful contributions to improving and growing the automation libraryPartner with your EDS and Solution Delivery QA counterparts to coordinate automated testing as needed to meet specific customer needsBe proficient in our entire tech stackWithin 365 Days, You’ll: Serve as an automation process expert across organizations (Solution Delivery, EDS, Engineering)Have a deep understanding of all product components, features, and workflows across the web and mobile platformsBe able to automate the most complex components and features in a consistent and thorough manner ensuring blockers are identified before they reach productionDrive automation team efforts to improve/optimize the automation process and library ensuring best practices are being followed and robust coverage is enabledSet the QA bar within your domainAbout SitetrackerSitetracker was founded seven years ago with the singular focus of solving a problem that was first recognized within the telecommunications industry; how to effectively manage the volume, variety, and velocity of critical infrastructure projects needed to meet the demand of expanding wireless and cellular service.
