Our client Leading Hospital Group in UAE requires for their headquarter in Abu Dhabi:
SONOGRAPHER
Consistently complies with the Hospital policies, procedures and practices. Ability to operate Ultrasound equipment efficiently, to use a computer and basic software programs and to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
Roles and responsibilities:
Performs routine and special procedures in Ultrasound in line with departmental policies and procedures.
Evaluates images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness. Forwards recorded images produced for Radiologist review and reporting.
Cleans equipment and rooms and restocks all equipment and supplies for subsequent use.
Participates in orientating new staff members and training student radiographers.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
The Ultra sonographer may be required to work in other areas of the department if needed.
Understands and appropriately uses the different types of documentation.
Analyses, verifies and ensures accuracy of all data sent to healthcare services, including editing as appropriate.
Follows established policies and procedures.
Collaborates with appropriate resources to ensure that intended end results are implemented.
Assures documentation is submitted and information is relayed to the appropriate departments.
Provide good patient care and clear communication before, during and after the performance of the imaging procedures and services.
Ensure patient’s confidentiality at all times.
Ensure patient handover is done timely and with complete information
Requisitos
Education and knowledge
Bachelor degree from an accredited university in a Radiography, Radiology Technology or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging program
Registration/certification or accreditation as radiographer / Sonographer
DOH (Department of Health) License
Professional knowledge
Perform required ultrasound imaging procedures and services as assigned in a professional and competent manner according to written instructions and protocol.
Ensure safety procedures and precautions are complied with as required by relevant standard operation protocol.
Ensure that the correct examination is performed on the correct patient by adhering to the 2-patient identifiers methodology and according to established clinical protocol.
Ensure that relevant patient information is given and procedure agreed to before commencement of procedures that requires written consent as defined in relevant policies.
Respond to emergency situation in a calm and professional manner in accordance to facilities guidelines.
Practice and maintain infection control procedures and practices at all times.
Participate in the department’s training and update programs.
Ensure that the annual requirements of the different competency levels of different modalities are met and recorded. This is to be submitted annually to the supervisor.
Understand and use the PACS and related connectivity responsibly. All examination studies should be successfully sent and stored in the PACS.
To escalate relevant pertinent issues.
To highlight any deficiencies of the unit or potential issues that may compromise patient’s safety and our service quality.
Be a role model to co-workers. Participate actively in the orientation and on-the job training programs including radiographers and support staff. And provide supervision and preceptor ship to them.
Participate actively in QA programs.
