Purpose of the Job
Alstom IS&T Digital Factory team sepcializes on building customer software, IOT solutions and digitial OT initiatives for different Alstom sites. The digital factory team has built & develops different Software app & IOT frameworks like Application Factory which consists of small to medium complexity web applications on Angular & Sprint Boot webserver architecture. The Application factory provides a framework or platform for building business process applications
The resource will be involved in development of custom web apps on the internal framework/platform called Application Factory. This will be a technical lead role with hands on experience in coding & building apps and driving teams on software development

Purpose of the Role :
The Technical expert will report to the Software Development Manager. The role is an Individual contributor role, working on providing technical leadership, taking ownership & leading a team of software developers in building software web applications for internal Alstom customers. The primary responsibility will be on managing the project delivery, technical design reviews, stakeholder management, software development, building custom apps, developing a top-quality software product following the Alstom coding standards & industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Accountable for complete project delivery of assigned use case.
Accountable for the software system design & architecture. Code reviews & mentoring software developers
Manage stakeholders, Key users & collaboration with other application teams
Responsible to adhere to the set quality & coding standards & hands-on software development
Responsible to follow the SCRUM process, attend all meetings, accountable for timely status updates.
Accountable to provide estimates & on-time delivery of assigned use case.
Be punctual, regular and a team player.
Educational Requirements:
BE or B Tech Graduation degree
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering /Technology or related field
Must Have Competenices
Total experience of 5 + years in end to end software development
Responsible for software application system design, done design reviews & peer reviews.
Knowledgeable of Java, spring boot, maven.
Responsible for application development. Having hands-on experience on java spring boot microservice application for at least 5 years with more than 3 projects.
Individual contributor and has been lead of developing of at least 2 applications & history of being part of development team of at least 3 projects.
Good to have:
Knowledge of Docker, Docker compose for bundling of release artifact.
Good to have DevOps exposure – build process, quality & security checks.
Self-learning qualities with track record of picking up new skills while on job.
Team player and ability to learn new technologies.
Competences & Skills
Strong hands-on experience on Java 9 and above. Clear understanding of collections, multithreading, exception handling, design pattern, module architecture design, problem solving, programming skills.
Hands on experience in working on spring boot microservice application.
Good (Intermediate to expert) knowledge on microservice architecture.
Good(Intermediate to expert) knowledge on build tools – maven, gradle.
Clear understanding of project structure.
Strong in troubleshooting issues & providing resolutions.
Be able to design their module and suggest improvement ideas.
Can write unit test cases.
Aware of software build and release process.
Have designed the backend for the module working on.
Well versed with working in Agile way, knows Scrum methodology.
Team player & quick learning
Fluent in English. Excellent in communication.
Be able to clearly give status updates and explain impediments.
Excellent in picking up new technologies and skill set while on job. Self-learner.
