As a Sr. Quality Engineer on the Kindle Reader team, you will take on an exciting and challenging role in a team that is innovating the reading experience on mobile devices for millions of Amazon customers. You will work with world-class engineers, business leaders, and other talented engineering teams while you design, architect, and implement for Kindle Reader iOS, Android, FireOS app and E-Reader. Scaling, latency, and customer experience are top priorities as the business grows. This is a high visibility team where you will make a direct positive impact on customer experience and the business. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and launch core product features
Influence our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product
Create world class software and Kindle experiences
Interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the Books org and Amazon
Dive into and take ownership of mission critical software puzzles
Participate in and drive design reviews
Innovate, prototype, and create new technology
Design and architect highly stable and scalable tests for a critical application at large scale
Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software

BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, engineering or other technical field
Expertise building test strategies, automation strategies for complex programs
Experience with Selenium or other automation framework
Experience with usability best practices; able to influence and improve user experience
Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
