What’s the role all about?
This is an exciting time to join Depaul UK. We have a brand new opportunity for four Support Workers to assist in the development and delivery of our new 16 bed Holistic Assessment Service in partnership with the GLA. This is a specialist service, based in Brent London, delivering support to non-UK nationals with unclear status/entitlements and complex needs.
The project will be delivered with the Enabling Assessment Service London (EASL) subcontracted to deliver mental health support, as well as the Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN) subcontracted to deliver immigration advice and support.
As a Support Worker will be responsible for a small caseload of complex needs clients and through assessments, consultation and casework you will help stabilise our client’s status, You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and ensure a positive and successful move on process.
The official job title for this position is Progression Coach.
What will ideally support your success in this role?
A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
Experience of working with non-UK nationals, clients with mental health and or drug/alcohol dependency
Ability to work with clients whose behaviour is personally challenging.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with clients.
Experience working in partnership with multi agency teams, including social workers, immigration and mental health professionals.
