Harbour School Dorset
The Harbour School Dorset in Bovington, is based on a beautiful site with a bespoke, carefully designed, new building which we move into in February 2022.
You would be joining us at an exciting time as we grow our staffing team to support an increase in pupil numbers from 25 to 160 over a 5-year period so there will be plenty of career development opportunities for the right person.
We are looking for some who:
Shares our vision of “Learning together in pursuit of happiness” and applies that to all they do in their work.
Is not only willing to take on new challenges but is excited by the opportunity
Has a clear understanding (or willingness to learn) of an outstanding special school provision, with particular reference to pupils challenged by ASC, comorbid SCLN and who are cognitively high functioning
Is either Primary, Special or Secondary Trained with QTS and Dfe Number
Specialism is KS2/3 with English/Maths is an advantage but all specialisms considered
Has Outstanding classroom practice and is able to provide professional support to other teachers and support staff
Is confident in setting, monitoring and reviewing personalised targets that will optimise learning for every pupil
Can contribute to school planning and self-evaluation
Is willing to contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews- training will be provided for this
Is wanting to develop their skills with an eye to the future
