Description : About the role: We are seeking to appoint either an already outstanding teacher or someone with the potential to become an outstanding teacher who can deliver high quality learning opportunities for our students in Science. We are looking for talented and passionate Teacher of Science (Biology specialist), who truly wishes to inspire our pupils. The Science department is highly successful and has a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for our pupils. It is housed in a suite of 13 recently refurbished and superbly equipped laboratories.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with an April or September 2022 start date (dependent on the successful candidates availability).

Working at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School: Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School is a selective boys grammar school with a coeducational sixth form. It is a seven form of entry school with over 1400 pupils. The school is significantly oversubscribed and has recently added an additional form of entry. The sixth form is also a highly successful and popular part of the school. The school has exceptional facilities and a distinctive ethos of providing outstanding academic teaching alongside a range of exceptional opportunities for all pupils.
OFSTED awarded the school an outstanding grade in every category in our most recent inspection, commenting that “students thrive within its distinctive ethos, enabling them to succeed academically and to develop into confident, well-rounded individuals who are prepared extremely well for their future lives.”
The School is the lead school in the Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub and is a National Support School.
