We’re talent pooling for Technical Sales Managers/Consultants who would like to register their interest for future opportunities at The Phoenix Works.

As the Technical Sales Manager/Consultant, you will be responsible for progressing warm business leads through the pre-sales and sales process. You will be responsible for a pipeline of renewable technology sales opportunities and will engage with business customers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are estimated, quoted, and converted in a way that delivers an amazing customer experience whilst ensuring revenue and margin targets are met. You will also be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
Take ownership of progressing a strong, qualified sales pipeline and tracking progress, risks and opportunities.
Sales analysis and forecasting
Contributing to a collaborative, supportive and winning team culture
Estimating and quoting works for projects varying in size, value and complexity – this will involve site surveys and associated expensed travel
Act as the customer voice, offering customer and competitor insight and feedback
Closing the deal. At times where we lose out, understanding the reasons why and rectifying next time
Use CRM tools to track your sales pipeline, complying with GDPR regs, ensuring account plans are up to date and accurate
Working cross-functionally to ensure the best outcome for the customer
Flagging business development opportunities through your network and market insight
Ensure strong governance around all accounts including regular performance reviews, monthly/quarterly account meetings etc.
Assist in negotiations, contracting and ongoing maintenance of accounts
The successful candidate will have the following:
Strong technical background in electrical design
Experience in the design and installation of electric vehicle charging equipment, solar PV and or/Battery is desirable but not essential
Electrical qualifications such as; 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395/2396 City & Guilds or similar are desirable but not essential
Civils experience – preferred but not required
Full UK driving license
Experience in a B2B programme management, delivery environment with experience working in commercial sales
Implementing effective plans to deliver against company commercial and strategic objectives
Excellent knowledge of technology landscape and developments
An understanding of health and safety in a build environment
