COMPENSATION: $25.00 per hour
LOCATION: California State University, Chico, Regional and Continuing Education Office, on campus.
The Program Coordinator oversees all RCE youth programs including research, assessment, developing, and delivering
programs for youth aged 8-14. The Program Coordinator will supervise a team of seasonal program aides and instructors to
achieve programmatic and day-to-day operational success in collaboration with other internal areas of the department and
university to offer high-quality youth programs.
Percent of Total Time: 60%
Program Development and Delivery
Develop and manage youth programs, including the Wildcat Discovery Camp.
Evaluate course instruction and content to ensure the preservation of standards of excellence required of
programs associated with Chico State.
Work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to ensure success of programs.
Coordinate with RCE Finance team to assure programs meet financial and budget constraints.
Ensure that reports required from RCE are submitted promptly and accurately.
Develop networks in industry, community, government, and academic groups.
Percent of Total Time: 40%
Leadership and Program Administration
Work collaboratively with RCE team leaders to provide high-quality programs.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and lead youth programming staff.
Facilitate the resolution of staff and personnel problems; handle performance problems in a positive and
constructive manner.
Work with peers and support staff cooperatively and constructively to meet mutual goals and objectives.
Support campus and department diversity and inclusion priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Two years of experience in youth programs or elementary education.
Two years of experience directly managing and supervising personnel.
Experience in program development and budgeting.
Self-motivated and directed, possessing the ability to motivate others.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background
check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified
information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a
current Chico State Enterprises employee who was conditionally offered the position.
CSE is collecting information from current employees and new hires in process to comply with this CSU system
policy. Job candidates who receive a contingent offer of employment will be required to complete a self –
certification process prior to receiving a final offer of employment. A candidate will be asked to certify whether
they are fully vaccinated, are in the process of becoming fully vaccinated, will request a medical or religious
exemption, or do not plan to access any campus/CSE facilities or participate in any in-person work. Questions
