Description : The Aircraft Mechanics derive their authority from, and report directly to, Senior Licenced Engineer (SLAE)/ Chief Licensed Aircraft Engineers (Chief LAE). Their duties shall consist of:
Responsible to carry out maintenance, modifications and repairs to aircraft structures, mechanical, electrical and avionic systems in accordance with approved work cards, work orders and relevant controlled technical documentation while respecting personal trade/skill boundaries.
Accountable to complete all work to a high quality and acceptable standard in a timely manner to meet company demands and Part-145 regulatory requirements.
Responsible to ensure that all maintenance actions are correctly signed off and recorded at the end of each shift, and to share important information regarding the subject task as required.
To have enthusiasm and perseverance with a positive attitude with flexibility to change and adapt to situations to meet the company demands.

ABOUT THE JOB
Accountable to complete all tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner, and ensuring high standards are maintained
Responsible to carry out maintenance and repairs to aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, engineering procedures, and approved technical documentation, meeting the necessary standard of quality within the trade skill set, company approval and the required timescales
Perform tasks respecting the cleanliness of the aircraft exterior and interior, while taking the customer perception in mind
Responsible to correctly identify, store and process parts removed from aircraft within required timescale following company processes and procedures
Responsible to ensure all completed or partly completed work is up–to-date and signed prior to end of each day shift
Responsible to comply with all relevant company, regulatory and aircraft procedures (for example, tool and FOD control, general health & safety, hangar housekeeping, and aircraft safety)
Responsible to maintain the correct time keeping and ensure all tasks are job booked correctly
Maintain an excellent working relationship with peers and management to maintain the high standards TUI has developed
Work co-operatively with all team members, contributing constructively and positively to team objectives
Responsible and accountable to return all equipment to storage areas, identify equipment that is defective and ensure tools and equipment are returned daily prior to end of shift
Responsible to ensure all work undertaken and completed meets company processes, EASA/CAA regulatory requirements. Everyone is responsible for the husbandry of their work areas
Identify and report issues with maintenance activity that could affect daily on-time delivery and escalate to Chief Licensed Aircraft Engineer if required
Responsible for the continued duty of care and safety of peers within the hangar and line environment when working in that area
Embrace and be responsible for implementing company safety requirements. Be vigilant for and report occurrences/hazards using the correct company processes
Have a positive approach to the company SMS system
Support and assist the Chief LAE and Senior LAE/LAE when requested
Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas. Actively ensure progressive gains in efficiency are maintained. Actively participate in the personal development
process
Keep record of your personal experience logbook and, if required, actively proceed with the Part-145 practical training
Drive, embed, maintain and promote a just culture and company values
ABOUT YOU
Aeronautical apprentice or recognised national qualification in aircraft maintenance
Minimum four years aircraft maintenance experience including training
Good knowledge of EASA Part-145 regulation
Good understanding of EASA SMS requirements
Good knowledge of Human Factors in the aircraft maintenance environment
Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and requirements
Excellent knowledge of aircraft technical data and how to navigate maintenance data and read aircraft drawings
Computer literate
Good knowledge of company’s engineering operating systems
Flexible in their working hours to meet the demands of the group airlines
Meet requirements to hold airside pass
Full driving licence
Flexibility as job dictates
