Description : Association’s Mission: To lead and position community clinics, health centers and networks through advocacy, education, and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities.Purpose of Position: This position will manage and oversee the organization’s complex grants portfolio which includes federal, state, and private foundation funding. Working in concert with program leads and the Association’s finance department, this position will be responsible for ensuring that all required activities, deliverables, and outcomes are executed effectively. This position is responsible for leading the administration of sub-grant awards, managing grantee reporting, and providing technical assistance to sub-grantees as needed.Primary Responsibilities: Manage CPCA’s grants portfolio including tracking of all programmatic and administrative deliverables.Conduct prospect research for potential new funding opportunities.Assess new funding opportunities brought forward by staff for feasibility for CPCA and/or community health centers.Manage grant reporting process including data collection, synthesizing, drafting and submitting.Work with the grants team and CPCA staff to develop Letters of Intent (LOIs), proposals, and funding applications for new grant opportunities and oversee the planning process of potential and funded projects.Work closely with CPCA’s finance team to build grant-related budgets and monitor grant spending.Lead and facilitate grant related meetings both internally and externally.Train staff on internal grants management software, Grant Tracker, as part of their onboarding process and provide ongoing user technical assistance as neededIdentify opportunities to streamline the grants management process through continuous improvement.Provide technical assistance to CPCA staff to ensure programmatic compliance.Oversee CPCA’s grant opportunities page and letters of support (LOS) requests.Oversee CPCA’s subgrant portfolio, ensuring sub-grantees are meeting reporting metrics, programmatic compliance, and deadlines.Skills and Abilities Required: *Strong project and program management expertise including implementation and evaluation.Strong attention to detail.Solid interpersonal and professional skills when engaging with Association staff, membership, Board of Directors, funders, and partners.Effective problem solving, facilitation, organizational and time management skills.Deliver accurate and concise written and oral communication.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications and platforms.Work collaboratively with leadership and multi departmental teams.Anticipate and resolve problems on own initiative.Experience and/or knowledge of basic grants management principles.Additional Responsibilities: Attends and participates in required Association meetingsSupports the Association’s vision of being an antiracist organization by utilizing JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) practices in work and relationships.Travel for national and regional meetings, training and site visits by air and ground transportationReports regularly to supervisorOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. Minimum five years of development and/or grant management experience. Experience with community health centers, member-driven associations or non-profit organizations is also preferred. Experience managing federal, state, and private foundation grants.Work from Home: Beginning March 13, 2020, all CPCA employees began telecommuting to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Employees are still predominately working from home. This position requires the employee to have a cell phone that can support the Microsoft Multi-Factor Authenticator (MFA) App with a data plan and home internet service, both are reimbursed at a set rate each month.
