Description : The Role
We are seeking an ambitious, bright and talented junior to mid-level Associate with two to four years PQE to join a dynamic and motivated Technology and Data practice in Dubai, working on some of the highest quality and most exciting work the market has to offer.
Our practice is broad and deals with all aspects of major technology contracts, outsourcing, and offshoring, information management, information compliance and IT security, e-commerce and telecoms and media regulation.
You will have the opportunity to advise on a full range of TMT matters as well as trends such as digital transformation, cloud services and data centres, e-payments, process automation and data regulation.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own matters and to manage client relationships. You will work autonomously on day-to-day matters under the guidance of a local supervisor. You will also work with the wider practice group and with individuals from the firm’s offices overseas on larger mandates and on firm initiatives.
Key Skills and Experience Required
The successful candidate must satisfy the following requirements:
A Western-qualified lawyer (2-4 PQE)
Strong academic track record
Fluency in English (oral and written)
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate all or a majority of the following skills:
Strong technical and commercial abilities
In depth knowledge of data privacy and the GDPR
Highly effective communicator
Strong service orientation – a “client first” culture
Proactive involvement in business development and knowledge management
Articulate, commercially minded, enthusiastic, and someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and copes well under extreme pressure and deadlines
Ability to work well in both a team and individually

This position will be within the IP and Technology Group. The Junior Associate will primarily support our Technology and Data practice in UAE but will work alongside members of the wider team across EMEA.
