Driver Hire Peterborough are looking to fill a Permanent Class 2 driver position based in Peterborough.
This is an extremely attractive job for the right person who is looking for a relaxed enjoyable job.
The Driver will responsible for the delivery of eggs and poults/chicks to customers.
What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
There will be some local deliveries and collections to farms and hatcheries – you may sometimes be required to drive a 3.5ton van. (same rate of pay).
Hours are variable and could occasionally include overnight runs – which will be paid at £26.20 night allowance.
Shift hours average between 10-11 hours – 45 to 50 hours per week.
Overtime after 8 hours and a £10 meal allowance for shifts over 10hrs.
Working week is Mon / Tues / Thu / Fri and every other Saturday morning.
Drivers must practice safe loading and unloading procedures
Your profile
Ability to work in a team driving environment (occasionally two drivers in truck)
Clean driving record is required – maximum 6 points
Safe and efficient driver (no work pressure regarding speed of delivery)
Flexible work schedule as working hours is variable due to the nature of work
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle moderately physical work
Professional and positive attitude
What we offer you
Basic Pay £11.22 per hour
Overtime £15.78 per hour
24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
