Description : We are looking for a Marketing & Client Development Coordinator / Senior Coordinator to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. We are a friendly team committed to delivering consistent, high-quality client service. In particular, the Coordinator will support the Firm’s transactional practice groups (with a particular focus on financial services and investment management) in London and across the EMEA offices including serving as the day-to-day client development point person for the Dublin office. The Coordinator will help to initiate and execute a wide range of projects that involve marketing planning, industry and client targeting, pitches and proposals, directory submissions, events and communications.The Coordinator must be able to interact at all levels of the Firm. While most of the day-to-day interaction will be with the Marketing Department and members of other administrative departments within the Firm, this individual will also have regular interaction with lawyers. This position is delivery oriented and supports and executes the marketing, business development and communication efforts of the Firm’s transactional practice groups.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :Pitches and Presentations:Assembles pitches, presentations and responses to RFPs, and handles related tracking of activities with minimal supervision.Business Development:Conducts various research projects used for business development efforts, including company and industry research, pursuit lists, and competitive intelligence in an effort to exploit market differentiation.Supports implementation of practice group plans and business development activities beyond pitches, such as client targeting initiatives and pipeline management.Credentials and Bios:Updates and maintain credentials.Updates and maintains experience and support full integration and adoption of firmwide experience database.Assists in the creation of new credentials, as appropriate.Updates and maintains lawyer bios and rankings on the website and internal systems.Maintains experience list for practice groups.Client Communications/Collateral:Coordinates and assists with the implementation of client communications including legal updates (Dechert OnPoint), announcements, newsletters, specific thought leadership campaigns.Assists with general website maintenance/updating as appropriate.Assists with social media communications via LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, as appropriate.Oversees printing, distribution and storage of collateral.Legal Directories/Practice Specific Awards:Assists and coordinates legal directory submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR etc.), together with Marketing/BD Managers.Assists with specific ad hoc awards submissions.Seminars and Events:Coordination of seminars, webinars, conference sponsorships, exhibitions, and other events, including arranging logistics, invitations, materials, and hospitality; assists with follow-up activities, working independently or alongside other members of the client development and events team.Data/Infrastructure:Collects and enters data into internal marketing databases/reports, including Pitch & Proposal Database, Business. Development Opportunities Report, CRM, etc. including supporting with CRM database reporting and contact research.Updates/ maintains mailing lists via CRM.Other:Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Supports other global marketing and client development initiatives that are aligned with the firm’s strategy and the marketing department goals.Knowledge, skills and abilitiesBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.3+ years of experience in a marketing role.Law firm or other professional service experience is a plus.Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and coordinate own work.Understanding of the marketing functions, needs and expectations of lawyers and clients.Effective writing skills.Proficient with Microsoft office; Interaction is a plus.Detail-oriented and organized.Good interpersonal skills; polite, professional, positive manner.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player.Additional Job DescriptionLocation(s)London, EnglandTime TypeFull timeDechert LLP is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination.
