We’re building the best savings account in the world, and to achieve that we need to have world class communication with our customers.
Sitting on Chip’s marketing engagement team, you’ll work alongside our CRM Marketing Manager to create emails, push notifications and deliver content that drives results for Chip and delights our customers.
This job is part psychology, part creative writing, part data-science, but 100% marketing. We believe personalisation is the difference between unwanted spam, and a message that makes someone smile.
This is an entry-level/junior position, and we’re after someone who could be a sharp recent graduate, or someone looking to make a career switch into the exciting world of fintech and marketing. If you do have a couple of years experience, but don’t quite feel ready to be a manager, hit us up too!
You don’t need a huge amount of experience, but you do need to have a fine eye for detail, be calm under pressure, a head for numbers, and if you have a way with words and eye design that’d be dreamy.
What you can expect to be doing:
Support the CRM Marketing Manager, as part of the engagement team.
Sending lots of emails and push notifications.
Find ways to convert new customers into active customers, encourage customers to save more, start investing and retain active customers.
Work closely with the content team to send messaging that delights our customers and builds our brand.
Working closely with the customer insights team to understand our database and create customer segments for personalised messages.
What we’re really looking for:
A fine eye for detail. (We expect a zero typo policy).
Confident with numbers, spreadsheets and working with large datasets
Creative streak, with an eye for design and writing skills
Interest in fintech and investing
Calm under pressure
Can quickly grasp complex issues
Are as comfortable working with creatives as with data scientists and engineers
Nice to haves:
Any email marketing experience (MailChimp in particular)
Basic HTML/CSS skills

Although we’re in the financial space, and under the scrutiny that comes with it, the current marketing team works well together, and even sometimes with a smile. We’re sure you’ve got the technical skills, otherwise you would have stopped reading by now, so let us be clear on what will make us want to work with you.
We want a real person, with interests outside of work, to join our team. You could be a dancer, a gamer, a musician, a parent, a hockey fan, or even that one person that still writes Twilight fan-fiction. Doesn’t matter to us.
At the interview stages we will be looking for empathy, eq, fun stories, and ability to smile even when things are tough.
