Description : A brand new and exciting opportunity for Electronic Engineer to join a Cambridge based organisation who develop complex, high value, low volume scientific instrumentation. The Electronics Design Engineer will be an important member of development team focused on the development of Electronic systems design of bespoke special purpose scientific equipment and ancillary devices. Development, planning and specification of electronic systems, sub-systems and components.

Requirements of Electronic Engineer
Experience in most of the following
Engineering degree in a electrical/electronic discipline or equivalent qualification/experience (minimum HNC + experience).
Good knowledge of Visual Basic and / or Visual Studio
Experience of further programming languages advantageous C++ / C# / Jscript / HTML.
Practical knowledge of closed and active feed-back control loop theory
Experience of device firmware programming
Strong pure and applied mathematical background preferred.
Experience of custom PCB design and optimisation
Practically competent in system and device troubleshooting down to component level.
Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience in ERP systems (SAP).
Professional registration with a relevant Engineering body encouraged and preferred.
Job Location: Cambridgeshire (Commutable from: Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon, St Neots, Peterborough, , etc)
Salary: £40k – £60k + excellent benefits and career progression opportunities.
